News to me: Michael Stipe has a sculpture on display outside of a hotel in Buckhead.
With all respect to Mr. Stipe, can’t help but wonder if this would have been purchased if it was by someone with a less famous name.
Not a good photo at all, but a surprisingly well-defined rainbow out the window this morning ahead of expected rain in Atlanta this weekend. Just hoping the forecasters are correct and it will be rain, and not ice. It’s too early for ice.
This park is one of the best kept secrets in greater Atlanta, a post-apocalyptic feeling wilderness filled with beauty and desolation and wonder. Just don’t go in the summer: The heat radiating off of the rock creates the conditions that give Arabia its name. On a 60 degree day in November, it is heavenly.
