Beautiful night on campus.

25 degrees, but not too much wind. A pretty 3.8 mile hike including time on the “beach” along a partially-drained reservoir. Lots of birds and other wildlife to be found.

Short little hike around a man-made 54-acre reservoir. One of the many branches of the Little Patuxent River, a water system that defines much of the character of central Maryland (and provides numerous good hikes) before emptying into the Chesapeake Bay. Nothing majestic but a great little piece of nature hidden inside suburbia.
This is nice.
Silas House remembers Tom Petty: “We embraced strangers and threw our heads back and sang. This was a kind of church, too, I thought. A room full of love in a way I’d never experienced before.”
