This is nice.
Silas House remembers Tom Petty: “We embraced strangers and threw our heads back and sang. This was a kind of church, too, I thought. A room full of love in a way I’d never experienced before.”

Hard to believe this is the same Pete the Cat my daughter read about in preschool just 7 years ago or so, and then went to “meet” along with the authors/performers down at the Decatur Book Fair. Appears times have been good for the Pete the Cat franchise, or at least half of it (I don’t remember the other guy’s name, but I know there was an other guy back then). Kudos to them. And with Elvis involved, might need to see if my daughter is interested in rekindling her love of Pete the Cat. Wonder what color his shoes are now?

Today it is on the front page of Imgur, and as usual here come the random RTs. Which is fine, but so odd the way the Internet works. As my friend who flagged it this time said, real shame there isn’t any money in viral.

Great evening, great venue. If you haven’t seen him play, do yourself a favor and find a time.
